Summary:
If you prefer to execute a job through the command line rather than GroupID Management Console, Synchronize provides a command-line utility. The utility resides in the GroupID installation directory by the name, Imanami.GroupID.Synchronize.exe. You can use this utility in the Windows command prompt to execute a synchronization job.
Locate the Job Configuration File:
The command to run a Synchronize job requires the name and path of the particular job’s configuration file. To get this information, do the following:
- If you installed GroupID only for you, enter the following command in the Windows Run dialog box:
%APPDATA%\Imanami\GroupID 8.0\Synchronize\Jobs - If you installed GroupID for everyone who uses this computer, enter the following command in the Windows Run dialog box:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application data\Imanami\GroupID 8.0\Synchronize\Jobs
Run a Synchronize Job:
- Using the command prompt, enter the following command to run a job:
C:\>Imanami.GroupID.Synchronize “Path of the configuration file\Configuration file name.dtmconfig” For example:
C:\>Imanami.GroupID.Synchronize "C:\ProgramData\Imanami\GroupID 8.0\Synchronize\Jobs\corp users.dtmconfig" - Press Enter.
View Synchronize Command-line Help:
- In the command prompt, enter the following command:
C:\>Path to GroupID installation directory\Imanami.GroupID.Synchronize /Help For example:
C:\>Program Files\Imanami\GroupID 8.0\Imanami.GroupID.Synchronize /Help - Press Enter.
