GroupID 10  – Self-Service

Business Scenario:

We are a multinational organization with offices in different countries. Our employees speak different languages. Though most of them are familiar with English, they would be happier to communicate in their native language.

GroupID manages important business. It is imperative that user interaction with the application makes more sense to them. If users don’t understand the messages they receive, they won’t be able to respond effectively.

As an organization, it would be simple to default to the ‘one language fits all’ option. But since we place great emphasis on enhanced employee experience, we would prefer a more flexible approach. We are looking for a way to localize the notifications that GroupID generates.

Solution:

With GroupID, localizing notifications to a user’s chosen language is a simple process. The Self-Service portal empowers each user to select a language of choice for notifications.

By default, notifications are sent to users in the English language. Users can change it to any of the following languages:

  • Danish
  • Dutch
  • English (US) - default
  • Finnish
  • French
  • German
  • Icelandic
  • Italian
  • Portuguese
  • Spanish
  • Swedish
  • Turkish

Steps:

  1. Lunch the GroupID Self-Service portal.
  2. Click the Settings icon at the top of the page.

  3. From the Notification Language list, select a language for receiving the notifications in.
    Supported languages are listed above.
  4. Click Save.

This setting applies to notifications generated by:

  • Automate
  • Self-Service portal
  • Password Center portals (User and Helpdesk)

It does not apply to the Synchronize module.

Note: User Settings are specific to an identity store. If you have access to multiple identity stores, you must localize the notification language for each of these.
