Business Scenario:

We have defined numerous Smart Group Update scheduled jobs in GroupID Management Console, that are triggered at various times. Although we have enabled notifications for the jobs when they fail, sometimes notifications are not received and it is not easy to identify the Smart Groups that have failed to update.

Is there a way for the update status and timestamp to be visible in GroupID Management Console for all groups?

Methodology:

Yes, we can set the update status and timestamp to be displayed in GroupID Management Console using the Column Options available in Automate. The inclusion of these columns will help the user to view the update status and the time when the update happened for all the groups. By default, the Smart Groups listing in Automate appears as:

Steps:

Follow these steps to add the status and timestamp columns for Automate listings.

  1. In GroupID Management Console, select Automate > All Groups > Smart Groups.

  2. Click Column Options.

  3. On the dialog box, select IMSGMembersUpdatedOn and IMSGMembersUpdatedStatus from the list and click Add.

  4. Click OK.

  5. The update status and the update timestamp for all the Smart Groups will now be visible in Automate, as shown below:
